Week end with the fab four

Had another fun time in New Paltz. Carl and I took a different approach. No over night. Leave early, work all day, return at night. Some traveling, but it gives Carl and I a chance to talk. Got a few things put together on the "shed". So all in all the trip was a success. The place is starting to shape up. In some ways, it reminds me of the farm back in 1970.
Had a talk with George Pasello this morning. He remembers going up to the farm. Reminded me of what it was like 35 years ago. I told him he ought to take a trip up now. What a difference. Maybe that's the secret of life. To be able to see things as they might look,with a little work and a lot of love. Not how they appear at the present.
Am going up to the farm this AM. Only for a few days. Try to take Cathy's mind off some of the stuff going on. Will shut the place down the first week in Nov. Hope to make a winter time visit this year. The snow up state reminds me of the winters in Iowa. When I was a boy. I think I used to be a boy. That was along time ago.
